Back on the horse again.

*Thought I would start by making a plug as to why roids are bad...
As if this topic wasn't controversial enough the first time so I decided I would link the two again. Baseball and football... Only this time in a different manner. The topic this week has to do with the past two topics wrapped up into one. Late last year Shawn Merriman was found guilty of using Steroids/HGH. Then early this year Rodney Harrison was found guilty as well. When was the last time we heard of them in the steroids/HGH conversation? Now we have baseball. Roger Clemens, Andy Pettite and a slew of others. THAT IS ALL THE NEWS REPORTS ON WHEN IT COMES TO BASEBALL! Why? Is there a media bias here? Why are NFL players getting a free pass? Is it how those football players handled the situation compared to the baseball players? Once again keep your baseball and football opinions as sports to yourself. I want to hear your take on the situation above. So like I said once and I will say again, “You tell me America.” I think someone else uses that line? Who is it?

While football players do in a sense get a free pass, the media is devouring the Clemens issue because of the fact the two men are at a table one chair away from each other, one saying he did and the other saying he didn't...both underoath. The fact that there is one liar here is what makes this such a big deal. Same with Bonds. The fact that he was breaking the most hallowed record in all of sports did him in. I love baseball but they sure haven't handled the steroid issue very well (no thanks to Bum Selig). At the same time, Football players and the NFL are a lot like BYU athletics. The league always has it's hands full lifting the corner of a rug with the left hand and holding a broom in the right. They are constantly sweeping things under the rug to avoid any fuss, or at elast keep the fuss to a minimum. Hands down football handles the issue better.
